The reasons are because one; Code Geass was good for its time, Clannad I will remember for the rest of my life. Its my favorite anime of all time right now and I heard some people saying that other animes are better than it, but right now I'm watching an anime that compared to it and I just can't have the same effect. I love Clannad to death right now and it will be the one anime that I will force my children to watch when they're around my age.

Yup. Though like I said, first season isnt special, but its absolutely necessary to appreciate the 2nd one.
